I’m a bit late posting this video since I’ve been on vacation during my parents’ visit, but here is a short clip from the February 24 dedication and official opening of the Project 24 orphanage in Lenkishon, Kenya. The orphanage is supported by LCMS congregations and gives children the opportunity to receive Lutheran education in the nearby school. Most of our staff in Nairobi drove down to Lenkishon for the day to join the celebration and bring greetings on behalf of the LCMS.
In the video clip, the bishops of the church stand just outside the orphanage door as a Maasai choir sings an opening song just prior to the dedication ceremony.
Many thanks to John Kissinger, who has worked faithfully and effectively to coordinate Project 24. We pray for God’s blessings upon the orphanage and the children it serves.
